Surfer feared dead after shark attack off SA's Eyre Peninsula near Elliston
A man is believed to have been killed in a shark attack near Elliston on the west coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the area about 10:10am
A search involving police and the State Emergency Service is underway for the man
The 46-year-old man from Elliston was surfing off Walkers Rocks Beach when he was attacked and is now missing.
Emergency services were called to the headland, about 7 kilometres north of Elliston, at about 10:10am following reports a man had been attacked by a shark.
Police have said the man is believed to have died in the attack.
A search involving police, the State Emergency Service and community members is underway for the man.
More than half a dozen boats, as well as jet skis, are being used to search the waters where he was last seen.
A west coast resident using his own abalone boat is also assisting the search.
The remote area is popular with surfers and divers but has a history of shark incidents.
The SA government has also been notified.
"Obviously really shocking news out of Elliston this morning, that a male surfer in his 40s has been attacked by a shark," Treasurer Stephen Mullighan said.
"I do know that emergency services are in attendance."
Elliston is about 650 kilometres from Adelaide.
