Surfista atacado por tiburón en las Galápagos
En la clínica Guayaquil permanece asilado Gonzalo Vásquez Alcívar. Se teme que pierda movilidad de la pierna derecha.
El médico tratanto, el Dr. Roberto Gilbert, comentó a la tía del herido, Margarita Alcívar, que el joven necesitará varias cirugías para tener movilidad, debido a que el tendón está cortado.
Al momento está en la unidad de cuidados intensivos, pero no se ha fijado fecha para dar inicio a las cirugías que precisa.
Vásquez, de 22 años, practicaba este deporte el sábado en la playa de la isla Isabela, en las Galápagos, junto a nueve amigos.
El joven, colono de la isla, remó para coger la ola, pero el tiburón lo agarró de la pierna derecha y lo comenzó a sacudir, relató luego del accidente. Agregó que debió meter la mano para poder soltarse de la mandíbula tiburón.
Al hacer esta maniobra, el tiburón le agarró la mano y le desgarró el dedo anular, añadió.
Debido a la gravedad de las heridas, Vásquez fue llevado a la isla Santa Cruz para que lo atiendan los médicos, desde la mañana de ayer recibe atención en la clínica Guayaquil.
