How would you deal with being severely injured by an animal that may have wanted to consume you or just parts of you? A shark attack can be a mindboggling event in a person's life. We know we have been there!

Shark bites surfboard as Kauai beach closes, too
KEKAHA, Kauai (HawaiiNewsNow) -
In what turned out to be a dangerous day in Hawaiian waters, Davidson's Surf Break on Kauai joined Maui's Waiehu Beach Park on the list of state beaches closed by shark-related incidents on Sunday after a surfer's board was bitten while he sat waiting for a wave.
A Department of Land and Natural Resources spokesperson says the surfer, a male whose age is currently unknown, was surfing with between 8 and 10 other people at around 8:15 a.m. when the incident occurred.
The man was sitting atop his board when the shark, which was between 8-10 feet long and may have been a tiger shark, came up from under the surfer and bit the tail end of the board, then released it.
The group paddled in shortly after the incident. The man was not injured.
DLNR officials closed the beach for the day and will wait until Monday before deciding whether to re-open it to the public.
