Shark bites woman diver's face
Occurred during routine feeding time
Woman receives superficial face wounds

A SHARK has attacked a diver on the face at Melbourne Aquarium today.
The woman member was doing a routine feed when the shark snapped at the Shipwreck Cove exhibit.
The diver was taken to hospital with a superficial facial wound from the bite shortly after 11.40am.
"The ambulance was called, as per our standard operating procedures, after the staff member was given first aid.
The staff member has now been taken to hospital for treatment,'' general manager Mark Manteit said.
He said the attacking shark was a Tawney Nurse shark that does not have sharp teeth.
"They have small plates on the top and bottom of their mouth which they use to feed on small prey,'' he said.
"The safety of our guests, staff and animals is of paramount importance to Melbourne Aquarium.
"While we ensure that we adhere to best practice operating procedures for the care and management of animals at the aquarium, the nature of our business is such that these types of incidents will happen from time to time.''
The woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital and is in a stable condition, said Ambulance Victoria.
