Shark bites bestselling author in Brevard
A bestselling author of historical and suspence fiction received more than 100 stitches after he was bitten by a shark in Brevard County, Wednesday, April 19, according to FLORIDA TODAY news partner WKMG Local 6 News report.
Davis Bunn said he was on a surfboard near Sebastian Inlet when a large shark bit his feet.
"Paddling out from a wave, I got hit from behind and never saw it," Bunn said. "(There was) no warning, nothing."
After the attack, Davis managed to paddle to shore for help. He was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Davis said he will not surf alone again
